NutriAI vs YAZIO

A plan-driven calorie tracker versus a food-symptom pattern app. Competitor facts last reviewed July 2026.

How this comparison works

We build NutriAI, so read this page knowing that. To keep it useful anyway: every competitor cell below is limited to what we could verify from their public store listings and websites as of July 2026. Where we weren't sure, we say so instead of guessing. Competitor features and prices change — always check the current listing before deciding. And where a competitor is genuinely the better fit, we say that too.

The short version

YAZIO's strength is structure: guided diet plans, a large recipe library, built-in intermittent fasting programs (16:8, 5:2, and more), and detailed micronutrient tracking in PRO. It also offers AI photo tracking and barcode scanning, with a free tier to start. If you want an app that hands you a plan and helps you follow it, YAZIO is built for that. NutriAI doesn't do plans, recipes, or fasting timers. It does one loop: scan a meal, get an inflammation-aware grade, check in on how you feel, and watch for possible food-symptom patterns in your own history.

Choose YAZIO if…

  • You want a structured diet plan — calorie targets, meal ideas, and recipes — rather than an open-ended log.
  • You practice intermittent fasting and want fasting timers and programs in the same app as your food tracking.
  • You want micronutrient detail (available in PRO), which NutriAI does not offer.
  • You want a generous free tier from an established app with a large user base.

Choose NutriAI if…

  • You're less interested in following a plan than in understanding your own reactions — which foods may precede bloating, joint pain, fatigue, or brain fog.
  • You want every scanned meal graded against an anti-inflammatory framework, with symptom journaling built in.
  • You want an AI coach grounded in your own meal and symptom log, including swap suggestions matched to your diet type and allergens.

Where NutriAI falls short

  • No micronutrient breakdown. NutriAI estimates calories, macros, and an inflammation-aware grade — it does not track vitamins and minerals.
  • Small review count. NutriAI 2.0 is a recent release; the established apps on this page have years of reviews and much larger user bases.
  • No wearable integration yet. There is no Apple Health, Google Fit, or fitness-tracker sync today.
  • English-only app UI today.
  • AI estimates need occasional correction. Photo analysis is an estimate; that's why every result is editable before you save it. Our scoring has also not yet been externally validated — we explain the details at How the Score Works.

The fine print

NutriAI's meal grades estimate how aligned a meal looks with anti-inflammatory eating principles. NutriAI is a general wellness tool — not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Possible food-symptom patterns are observations worth discussing with a clinician, not diagnoses.
